works with.

Macro Lockset manages VBA project protection in supported Office formats. Document-opening encryption is a separate protection layer.

Scanning, reading source and applying changes have different format support. ZIP and nested ZIP handling is subject to archive limits. Compiled Access files may be identified without editable VBA source.

Enterprise deployment needs a suitable shared network folder and an enrolled Administrator before seated users install. The free Professional demo is the planned evaluation route for either edition.

A few practical questions

Does the demo change my files?

The planned unactivated demo permits scanning, password validation and locating files in Explorer. It does not permit file changes or VBA code Search.

Can I review the code found by Search?

Paid editions let you review matching VBA code from unprotected projects and files whose VBA project passwords have been validated. Eligible Excel workbooks can also be opened as temporary, read-only copies for more extensive manual searching and browsing in Excel’s Visual Basic Editor. Your original files remain unchanged.

Can I evaluate Enterprise before setting up an Administrator?

The planned free Professional demo lets you explore the shared discovery and validation features. Actual Enterprise deployment still requires Administrator-first setup and shared organization storage.

Can Professional change an existing password?

Yes, for a supported operation when Macro Lockset can confirm the applicable current password, either supplied by you or held in your usable vault. Enterprise adds policy-enabled Administrator approval for supported exact-file exceptions.

Are my Office files uploaded for registration?

Product registration and licensing are separate from processing your files. Files, VBA source and vault passwords are not part of the intended registration exchange. Enterprise also uses your organization’s own shared store for organizational functions.

How will purchasing and activation work?

The planned Professional route is online payment followed by license fulfillment. Enterprise starts with a purchase request and review, followed by agreed payment and license issuance. The install-first, activate-later demo experience is still being implemented and validated.
